Edwards Still Playing Supporters for Fools
Fri Aug 15, 2008 at 12:04:57 PM PDT
It's amazing that even after Edwards' confession, the denial of his Kossack defenders perserveres. Forget Elizabeth's statement, and the ridiculously maudlin fawning response of this community. Guys, the guy is still lying. Elizabeth is complicit in the lies. He likely broke campaign finance regulations. He paid the mistress over 100k for videos that hardly aired. Yes, he essentially used your money to pay off his mistress! How can you say that it "doesn't matter," or that all of this is somehow an invasion of his privacy, when he is mishandling campaign donations made in good faith. It's like Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker. Anyway, the mainstream media is now fully engaged, and making Edwards look more and more duplicitous and pathetic by the day.
Obama Wants Warner as V.P.
Wed Aug 13, 2008 at 09:41:51 AM PDT
Big news today about Mark Warner giving the keynote speech at the convention. But even more interesting is Mark Ambinder's report that Obama is pushing Warner to submit to V.P. vetting. And, surprisingly, Warner continues to resist.
Edwards: Infidelity is Relevant
Fri Aug 08, 2008 at 02:33:53 PM PDT
To all you Edwards defenders who rationalize that his infidelities are private and totally irrelevant, I direct you to Edwards own words, cited here.
Edwards Should NOT Speak at Convention
Thu Aug 07, 2008 at 09:55:09 AM PDT
This is really a no-brainer. Whether the Enquirer's allegations are bogus or not, a prominent Edwards role at the convention would be a troubling distraction as the media would focus on nothing else.
Seems that some Edwards people agree.
Bill Clinton is an Ass
Mon Aug 04, 2008 at 11:23:04 PM PDT
There's been much made about Bill Clinton's less than supportive remarks about Obama in an interview with ABC News found here. Of particular interest is this:
You could argue that no one's ever ready to be president."
-- Bill Clinton, in an interview with ABC News, when asked if Sen. Barack Obama has the necessary experience to be president.

Clemens is Busted / Baseball Fans are Morons
Wed Jul 16, 2008 at 11:00:29 AM PDT
Alright, so now the feds have proof that Roger Clemens lied under oath and procured steroids.
This whole steroids thing with baseball has been a calamity. Some blame the players and some blame the league for lax enforcement and implicit encouragement. I reject that and place the blame squarely on the moronic self-deceiving fans of MLB who were distracted by pretty home run chases while denying the blatant obviousness of what was happening to the sport.
What Did Jesse Say???
Wed Jul 09, 2008 at 02:53:29 PM PDT
Drudge and CNN are making a big deal about vulgar comments Jesse Jackson apparently just made about Obama. Apparently Jackson was not aware the comments were being broadcast. There are several reports about it, but I can't find anything with the actual quotes from Jackson.
I Hate Nazis
Tue Jul 08, 2008 at 02:45:11 PM PDT
After years of studying the WWII era including wide-ranging scholarship on the rise of Nazism, I remain at a loss in understanding the unfathomable evil of the nazis. There appears to be absolutely no rational basis in all that is human for what the nazis did.
I Miss Having HRC to Kick Around
Thu Jun 26, 2008 at 01:49:31 PM PDT
Yeah yeah, call me a jerk, but I have to admit it is true. Supporting Obama in the primary against Hillary was some of the most fun I've ever enjoyed with politics. I'm a democrat who believes the DLC Clintons and their minions were/are a disgrace to the party. So you can understand how I'd feel being part of the process that humbled the Clintons while elevating a man of Obama's character and grace. There was something cathartic about it.
Lanny Davis Joins Fox News
Tue Jun 17, 2008 at 10:41:43 AM PDT
One of the most troubling things about the Clintons has always been their associates and hangers-on, sleazeballs and hucksters like Terry McCaullife, Lanny Davis, Paul Begala, James Carville, Mark Penn, Sideny Blumenthal . . . the parade of horribles is unending.
Is it any surprise then that never say die Clinton defender, Lanny Davis, is now employed by Fox News? Here is the article.
HRC Tells Barack: Show Me The Money $$$
Mon Jun 02, 2008 at 04:06:04 PM PDT
So this is the classy way HRC will bow out, essentially demanding that Obama buy her concession. Check out this article currently being linked by Drudge. Ultimately, she just wants the Clinton family millions back in her pockets.
George Will: Obama is "Democrats' Reagan"
Thu May 08, 2008 at 10:20:47 AM PDT
With today's renewed race-baiting from the HRC campaign, I urge consideration of this George Will article linked on realclearpolitics.com.
Here, are some particularly keen passages:
Hillary Clinton, 60, Illinois native and Arkansas lawyer, became, retroactively, a lifelong Yankee fan at age 52 when, shopping for a U.S. Senate seat, she adopted New York state as home sweet home. She may think, or at least would argue, that when she was 12 her Yankees really won the 1960 World Series, by standards of "fairness," because they trounced the Pirates in runs scored, 55-27, over seven games, so there.
In Praise of CNN's John King
Wed May 07, 2008 at 01:22:46 PM PDT
I think John King deserves a shoutout.
First, he's often the only sane guy in the CNN newsroom. When everyone else is waffling around with wild hyperbole that shifts with every change in momentum among the candidates, King is a rock. He always bases his analysis purrely on the raw data, refusing Wolf Blitzer's constant invitations to deviate into baseless speculatation. As a result of this emphasis on the data, there is never even a hint of bias in his reporting.
Carville says HRC has more "cojones" than Obama
Sun May 04, 2008 at 10:08:19 PM PDT
The following quote is published in Newsweek and posted here.
"If she gave him one of her cojones, they'd both have two."
-- James Carville, quoted by Newsweek, on how "Hillary is the tougher of the two, the candidate you want on your side in a knife fight."
Hillary: "I'm Like Goldilocks"
Thu May 01, 2008 at 10:13:27 AM PDT
Get a load of this quote from HRC regarding the gas tax issue:
Clinton added, "You know, Sen. Obama says we shouldn't do it and it's gimmick. And Sen. McCain says we should do it but shouldn't pay for it. I sometimes feel like the Goldilocks of this campaign. Not too much, not too little, just right. And I think we should have a gas tax holiday and pay for it."

Obama HUGE over HRC vs McCain in new poll
Wed Apr 30, 2008 at 11:21:29 AM PDT
Say what you will about Zogby, but this is some intriguing polling. He tested both Obama and HRC in a 4-way national race that also includes Bob Barr and Ralph Nader.
HRC Ridiculously Claims Popular Vote Lead
Wed Apr 23, 2008 at 09:49:26 AM PDT
One of the most annoying things about the Hillary Campaign is the way they constantly make arguments that insult people's intelligence. Here is the latest from First Read:
From NBC's John Boxley
EN ROUTE TO INDIANA -- The new spin we are hearing from the Clinton campaign today is that more people have now cast votes for Clinton than Obama, when you include MI and FL AND exclude the caucuses which Obama has dominated. (See earlier post on the popular vote logic.)
BREAKING: Early Exit Poll Data
